I started to overclock my laptop about 3 months ago and so far have had no regrets. Its great to see a low end card like 8400m gs of dell 1520 be able to play games like crysis, gta 4,etc. How about u guys?Would u like to post ur results and achievements in this discussion then please do.It will be of great help for those interested. Here r my details in overclocking. Nvidia Geforce 8400m gs 128mb ram gddr2. default 400/800/400 (core/shader processor/memory) overclocked 550/1100/480 (very stable) extreme overclocked 605/1211/500 (stable but temp is a concern reaching 70 c)

don't you have any problems on your laptops temperature? I'm afraid that if i overclock mine it will overheat. I played at least 10 hrs a day everyday.

Its best u dont overclock man. No need to see ur laptop go up in flames after 5 hrs. Also be carefull how u use it.try to get a cooler. Or else u r seriously endangering ur laptop life. Continous gaming is serious. Happy my lotting friend. Keep posting

I've got a basic machine, intel single core 2Ghz and budget Foxconn 915 chipset motherboard. I looked on the Foxconn website and they said the mobo was clockable but looking in the BIOS I saw it wasn't, the only solution was to run a free progam called Fox One where You could set certain parameters. Now I get it up to 2.35 Gigs, any more and it locks, no way to increase the core voltage. Still, it responds well at that speed and my cpu temp never goes over 37 C even running the torture test on prime95.

I haven't tried overclocking. I'm satisfied with my computer's performance. And overclocking tends to increase the temperature inside your computer, if don't have enough cooling system, your computer might break down.
