I'm new to mylot and was wondering what people that are on for a min of 4 hrs a day make? I would like to get a rough estimate of how many posts I'd have to respond to or post in order to make a decent amount. I am a stay at home mom to two boys and we really need the extra money. any and all opinions are welcome.

What do you consider a decent amount? Unless you spend all day here participating in discussions and have a ton of active referrals in mylot, I'm afraid you won't make much. Mylot is a great online community, but it shouldn't be used as a way to earn a living on, because that's not very realistic. I'm a stay at home mom as well and the most I've earned in one day's time is around 53 cents, though I normally make less than this. But just remember, every little bit does add up. Heck, my pennies turned into over $120 to date. I don't get to participate in many discussions per day, if I do get to log in, so I could probably make more than I do if I were to apply myself more. I just don't have the time or energy to do so. Plus with me being on a slow connection makes it that much harder for me to make anything more than I usually do on here. I hope my input hasn't discouraged you from being a member here. Just remember, mylot's a really great place and it really does pay. So the more you post, the more you'll be able to make. Try the tasks too. By what I heard they pay more, so be sure to keep that in mind. Good luck!

As has been said, it depends on how many times you post, as well as the quality and length of your posts. You can do tasks and try to obtain referrals, but posting is the easiest way to earn quickly, although it takes longer to get any substantial amount.

I think it mainly depends on the actual number of posts you make. It seems like you make about a penny a post if you have at least 2 or 3 sentences. Just have fun with and start topics often. Accumulate friends and get lots of referrals! good luck!

I don;t think you get paid for the amount of time, but you are certainly paid for the quality of your posts and the majority of quality posts. The algorithm system is the equation they use to calculate, and it will never be revealed as it will be abused by people if they knew exactly how to get the most amount of money per day. There is no way to know how much you make a day but if you write and reply to quality and educational discussion, you will see your rating improve, and therefore your earnings too.

Hi there, welcome, and hope u will enjoy here. You get paid for what you post, so how many you post here, how much you will get. Keep posting, and you will get what you want. Cheers!

I can not imagine doing four hours here a day. Not that I would have that much time to spare in the first place: full time college student, self-employed freelance writer. I tend to wander off to my regular writing (which pays better for the same amount of time spent) after a few postings. I am guilty of using Mylot for taking breaks and bashing though writer's block. My limit is about twenty posts a day; my average is about five or ten. The longest day I spent here was the day Paris Hilton wnet to jail (I was gossiping); I am not sure how long I was here; and I made sixty-four cents that day (in my defense, my wife was home sick; I wasn't going to get any writing done that day).
