How do I create my own blog?

Hey guys!I am looking to create my own blog and I need some advice. First off, the main reason that I am looking to have a blog for is that I want to promote my referral links. I am finding out that if you do not have any referrals you won't earn more than a few bucks each month online, so I am looking to increase my earnings. Now which FREE blogging service should I choose and why? Which one is the best? How and when do I hookup my blog with adsense or some other ad money making program? Do I do this before I create my blog or after? When you open up one of these free blog accounts do you get to have multiple pages on your blog or just 1 page?
Please any information that you can give me I will be very thankful as I am new at blogging and have no idea where to start. Please help!

I would agree with everyone else here. Blogger.com is the friendliest to affiliate marketers. Be sure and read the Terms of Service very carefully. I had a blog pulled from Wordpress.com for posting referral links.
