Gas prices

Do yoiu think that the price of gas affects people's holiday travel plans at all? I've started to notice that gas goes up around memorial day, fourth of july, then again at thanksgiving and once more around christmas, then the rest of the year it either goes down inbetween holidays or pretty much stays even. Living in Cali we watch the prices and try to find the cheapest gas station to go to but still. And when you want to use a credit card they chard a $0.45 fee which makes the gas price even higher. Do you think that's fair? I think that the people that have shares in oil are greedy and want to make more money when the rest of the world is trying to barely get by.

Yeah they will always be greedy and they will always win the battle too. The truth is that no matter the price of gas we will keep buying it if we dont switch to other energy sources. the fee for the credit card is because the merchant has to pay a fee for people using credit cards at their establishment. So thats a way for them to cover their own fees. As far as the travel plans when gas prices go up people are more cautious as to how they drive and they travel. But in reality we will always need the gas.
