I am very much scared for opening a paypal account, because some people says that paypal imposes lots of fines on its users. I didn't agree with them but I am scared. I had made up my mind twice to open an account but rejected afterwards. On the otherhand alertpay offers the same service but their deductions and service costs are comparitively high. Please provide your views.

Well, I think paypal is the most trusted online money transferring that is in existence right now... It is also the most-widely used, I guess.

I have tried alertpay but the whole site really sucked! I submitted all the requirements yet they don't verify my account and they have more charges than paypal. So i go with paypal since its tested already for its safety and convenience.

Definitely PayPal for me as it's widely used (i.e. nearly 100times more accounts opened at PayPal than AlertPay world wide) and is more convenient having banking institutions linked with PayPal. With regards to fines, I think you should be fine as long a you use the account in a normal way (e.g. use it for scam or any other illegal purposes). Either way, why not have both. That what I am doing :)

I once had a problem in paypal filing a dispute/claim. I won the claim but Paypal didn't manage to get my money back. Well its only $10 but still that experience made me hesistant to transact larger amounts in Paypal. I haven't verified my alertpay account since I think it takes a long time to get it processed so I didn't bother to try verifying it yet.
