http://www.ottawacitizen.com/health/reality+check+reality+check/1783177/story.html It took me forever to type this post out, so enjoy it! To all those naysayers who tell loyal dems to not believe everything they hear, I say take a gander at this. Its a breath of fresh air after all the fox propaganda crap on tv lately, and its straight from the mouth of a Canadian citizen, with no bs

So what I was hearing from that one is that Canada is moving twoards a system with government provided health care for all, but then privatized health care for those who can afford it...that sounds to me a lot like the bill thats being proposed now http://www.reuters.com/article/GCA-HealthcareReform/idUSTRE56S37T20090729?pageNumber=1&virtualBrandChannel=0

People will always make mountains out of molehills !! I don't like the idea of my government taking control of my health care, but it certainly isn't working well the way it is. If Canada was having problems to the extent we read and hear about then certainly the people of Canada would do something to change what isn't working. Much like our current health care system in the US is NOT working, therefore some kind of change is needed. No it won't be perfect, yes there will be problems but what we have now... People with no insurance and no health care and no way to afford either one.... Something has to be done. Just my humble opinion, Mari

I agree completely with you. The system now is designed for profit, and the health of people is not a thing to make a business of. We will still carry on being capitalists, because the vast majority of companies in the US, with over 99 percent of revenue, is not owned by the government. Health care is too vital to try to make a profit on; it just doesn't make any sense.
