i was reading this paper from vom and it says how china will arrest christians just for trying to sread the word of god.there was this one guy who got sentenced to 3 years in jail for trying to giveout 140,000 free bibles. i am a devoted christian and i think people should have the right to belive in what they want to.

People should be able to practice and believe whatever they want. But maybe trying to give out all those bibles were considered soliciting or just bothering people. I have never heard of this in china. Saudia Arabia, yes. I do think that 3 years in jail is very harsh, though. Here in America the worst that happens is a door slamed in your face.

Yes, people should be able to practice their own religions, as long as they do not intrude others with their ways. While I think going to jail for handing out Bibles may be harsh, the guy was doing something that doesn't seem very smart. To put it in perspective, what would we think if some guy came around our town and started handing out and loudly preaching that mighty Allah will save us, and not respecting other peoples' religion? I am sure the man in China was not just handing out bibles; he possibly may have been trying to preach his beliefs to others that just did not agree with him.

thank you for responding but in china many christians don't hav bibles thanks to the govermants ban on christianity, and bibles. so the man was trying to scretly give out bibles to the those christians. sorry i didn't explain into more detail.
