What's your favorite "buzz"?

For me, it depends on my mood. Recently, I've gotten into a house cleaning mood while stoned. Sometimes I just go into a zone. I can tell you which one I hate.....the paranoid buzz! For this reason, as I've gotten older, I just like to stay home. Smoke some doobie, put on some tunes (or some MindlessTeleVision) and simply vegetate. I get from different sources so I'm never sure exactly what state of mind I'll be in. My general rule is 3 hits tops with something new. Wait and see what happens. I certainly prefer to stay at home than go out. What about you? I miss the old times. Can I reminisce for a moment???? When I was in college, people would just hand you a pinwheel and say, "Tell me what you think about this." I never had to pay for smoke. Never. When I had, I shared. Same with all my friends. Big, beautiful buds! Now, I find it in 2 forms: compressed (good for travel) or shake. I wish I could grow. Just can't seem to make it happen. Sigh. Ah well. At least I've got something and SOMEthing is better than nothing!

Oh how great to be a pothead in America! The home of the brave and land of the not so free tokers! I also HATE the paranoid buzz . . . its the worst and becoming to paranoid can ruin the buzz if you aren't careful. And I don't know if its a regional thing or a generation thing but I myself (I'm 26) came up smoking mine "in something" such as a pipe or a bong my hubby (he's 40) prefers it rolled. I honestly had never heard anyone use the word joint until I met him.

You know, we never really called them joints either. I'm 45 and smoking "J's", weed, doobie, reefer, MJ and things like that is what we called it. Joints were almost always used at parties or walking around the neighborhood. I was with a group of people that preferred to use hookahs for a while. Bongs...oh yes! Usually with a whiskey base. I've made brownies a couple of times. Nowadays, I prefer using a pipe. I've got one with a lid that screws onto the bowl with a hole in it. Pretty good for carrying around in my pocket. At home just a simple wooden pipe. As for a paranoid buzz....nothing worse! Friend calls you up, says to come over because they just got some. Roll a nice one and go for a walk around the neighborhood. Next thing you know, your watching every person, every car! lol. For this reason, I stay home. Once I've done everything I need to do, I load my bowl, take a deep drag and go wherever I'm carried.

We smoked "rolled" but called them blunts or doobies. And I swear as crazy as it sounds (even to me) I really never heard a person say the word joint! I had heard it on movies and TV but never been asked to smoke a joint.

I like to smoke when I am alone, too. I really like putting on a good tv show, or scary movie. I feel like when I smoke, I get more sucked into whatever I am watching. I sometimes get into the "cleaning" mode, too. I have been getting the paranoid buzz every once in a while lately because I was a victim of home invasion, so needless to say, sometimes my mind just wanders to the wrong spot.

That's the best time, in my opinion! Whenever my boyfriend works at night, I will smoke alone and watch something scary. It makes it that much scarier when I am alone. Sometimes comedies are okay, but they have to be really really funny! Have you every seen the movie strangers with candy? or step brothers? Both of those are good, funny movies.
Tonight, my boyfriend is working so I think I might look for a scary movie and watch that!
I also love watching law and order when I smoke! It makes it that much more intense!

I've just never been able to get into the scary movie thing! I love to watch something like "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" or some sort of musical. The thing is, I'm also a filmmaker so if I'm stoned all the technical aspects of a film jump out at me! lol. Drives me nuts sometimes! My partner is a smoker too so we have to usually try to find some common ground. We wind up on MTV or VH1 or something "fluffy" on the tv. If I'm alone, that's when I get into the cleaning mode. The music is very particular too. Sometimes Sting. Sometimes Stevie Wonder. Just depends on what kind of buzz I'm getting. I also LOVE to cook! I'll look up some gourmet recipe on the web or something and just go crazy in the kitchen! I've also been pretty successful making my own creations when stoned. lol. Of course, everything tastes GREAT when your altered! lol
Sorry about your home invasion. I went through that once too. Kind of a freaky feeling to know some stranger has been in your home. Thank goodness no one got hurt!

I too enjoy a good scary movie with my smoke; my husband and all our friends like a comedy with theirs though . . . So I have to save the scary movies for my private highs.

I know what you mean about the "old times". I think now it is such a money maker that the quality has been compromised. I have the same problems in my area in the USA. It's compressed or shake... and the quality is no where near what it used to be. Being 49 I don't feel like I want to wander around to find something better. I stick to where I know I can get it without hassle, but I do so wish the quality and price were that of days gone by.
I usually smoke in the late evening while watching TV after the household has gone to bed. I am a night owl so it works for me and right now I am not working so if I sleep in it's no big deal. I have no children to deal with, only and adult brother, mother and pets...lol I did plant one seed in our flower garden to see if it would grow, we've had a lousy summer or wetness and barely any sun. However it has grown to be over 2 feet tall. I think next year I will try a few plants in the backyard where they won't be noticed and see if I can get some type of harvest. I don't know why they don't just legalize it. The fact that it is illegal doesn't stop anyone I know from using it... and you're right "something is better than nothing"

I did one seed in my garden, too. I have a potted garden because I have no yard. Well guess what? My cute little kitty came up and ate the thing down to the root! It wasn't that big, so it wasn't a huge deal. I ignored the stub for a while, and eventually some of it grew back! Only to find out that it was a male plant. Guess I will have to keep the seeds and see if maybe next year I can do something with it.

I wish I could grow my own. I just haven't had any luck with it at all. I'm exactly the same. I stick with what I know. You never know these days just what you're going to get. I lived all over the States and got different types and qualities. Where I live now, I've been fortunate to feel like I'm getting some good value for my buck. What do you think about the possibility of legalization in CA? I heard Arnold's been looking at the possibility to add some taxes to the coiffures. Medicinal use is pretty widespread from what I've read as well. Probably using CA as a testing ground to see how that works. Personally, I hate the thought of the government having anything to do with my weed. I think the whole the of it being illegal is just ludicrous. You never hear about some pot head walking into a school or business with a shotgun and just starting taking people out. Sigh. It's just one of those issues that will never have a resolution, I fear. I've been saving up my seeds and plan to give growing a shot this spring. Here it's winter so I've still got some time. Thanks for chiming in!

I member when I used to rock n roll all night and party every day.. Now "party what's that". Now I put on a newface just to clean my house (I got a very clean house hehehehe) As far as paying for it I don't cuz my better half pays for it I just smoke it. But have grown it still do every now & then (thats if the deer don't eat i 1st I grow outside)
