Are Mylot tasks good for website promotion and attracting new member signups?

Although I get a decent amount of hits per day on my site, I want more members & I was strongly considering trying out Mylot Tasks as there is a lot of potential exposure to be made & a lot of new member turn-outs. Think it's a good idea? Think it'll work? I was thinking of paying $1 per each person that joined & did x number of things on it.
