Open source programs

well,,in short i prefer to use bought software most of the times..as they are ur property,,,but some of the open source softwares are quite good and easy to use. but u know open source softwares have less functionalities than the paid ones.

Open source is the best way to share ideas, and create something great for the common user, while also distributing software for no charge, i think the main reason why open source became so popular amoung people is because for #1 its Free software and #2 other companies just dont have a logical way of pricing their products for example: When you go to buy a Apple laptop or Desktop, what are you really paying for? Your paying $2000-$3000 for just THE NAME thats stamped on and the cheesy Apple logo on the back, the actual hardware and software is very cheap to manufactor these days, a lot of people find this hard to understand because they really think that Apple is better then a PC but in fact Apple is now a PC since they switched to Intel Hardware, the reason Apple computers never had Viruses was because no one used them.
