How will you cope up things if your un-employed

i used to be an un-employed before though i never get to the point of thinking where to get money.. thanks to my family and to those who are close to me... even though i had support from them i still manage to earn extra income online. like selling pre-used item through eBay... Those are branded actually thats why they appreciated it.. how about you have you ever been un-employed before? how did you cope up with it.. specially about financial matter.
