When I woke up yesterday morning around 10 to 11 am I saw the GMA channel 7 that she has a large image and news was just focusing to her. I wonder why but it came to my mind that she already died but I haven't heard yet from the reporters about her death. So I made clarification to our maid and she told me she already died. And I asked her what time? Then that is the time I heard that President Corazon Aquino died at around 3:00 a.m. due to Respiratory Cardiac Arrest. I was little bit surprised and felt sad though I am already expecting it that she will die anytime this year because of her condition. Of course I felt like we have lost another icon and a good role model to our country. If MJ is a King of Pop and an icon of music then Cory is an icon of democracy and freedom, a role model as a Filipina, woman with dignity and pride, fighitng for what is right, and a religious person with simplicity. Unfortunately I haven't met her personally. I was supposed to see her at Manila Memorial when they visited Ninoy Aquino way back 1993 but then we were not able to reach her. But I like her ever since as one of the greatest President here in our country.
