Hi, mylotters. I just wanted to raise a topic that has fancied nearly all tech lovers at least for the last 125 years when H.G. Wells wrote his book "The Time Machine", i.e. the possibility of travelling in time. Some people say that the prettiness of mathematics raises a possibility of travelling in time while others argue that time is not meant for journey. Do you agree/disagree by reason or intuition that a time machine or a similar device may ever exist, or if it can, aren`t there already many people among us from the past or future?

Hi Einstein said it wasnt feasible going back in time, although he also said going to the future could be possible. I dont remember what he said about the how, but it wasnt something practically impossible to acomplish.

Well, Einstein had his views and the modern world has theirs. Although, with due respect, Einstein made a great discovery, he looked upon the time travel within the scope of the then existing relativity. But, now, relativity and its practical implications have evolved far more than what Einstein originally proposed. However, i never came across any solid statement by Einstein on the matter of time travel. Even if what you say is correct, that Einstein supported future travel (that we actually generally do in life, but at a constant uncontrolled pace), there arise many dramatic conclusions. A person may travel to his future, but will never be able to return to his present, that would have actually become his past now. There is a more dramatic consequence. Just consider a series of events A, B and C. Suppose you are at A. So, theoretically, you can travel to B or C (via B). Suppose you travel to C. Now, you can not go back to B or A. why? Even when I am still at A and for me B is still in future. So, if time events A and B still exist, what is the problem in travelling to B or A from C. For, that you can count on to Parallel Universe theory, many universes with different time frames such that the event A in one universe pertains to event B in another. Well, that seems a lot of fantasy. Only, time will tell. Thanks for your response. Happy Mylotting!!

it is not feasible to have a Time Machine for going in future because the future has not surfaced. We know very well there are 4 axis x,y,z & the 4th is time axis.We cant travel on 4th axis beyond the limits.

Hi, friend. As you say, i also don`t believe intuitively the possibility of time travel. But, as you are reasoning in terms of scientific measures, let me shed a bit of light on it coz my scientific reasoning says it is possible. First of all, if time is also a axis, why cann`t we travel in the 4th axis beyond limits, if we can do it with other three axes. Secondly, the theory of relativity, that raises the concept of 4th axis being time, completely discards the abstractness of time. So, if it is physical, why cann`t we travel in it. Thirdly, you say that we cann`t travel in future as it has not yet surfaced. Ok, you should believe that the present time exists. And if we can travel to the past, we can take time machine there and those from the past may travel to the present time, that is future for them. So, it may be possible that our present is the past for somebody and our future is the present for them. So, if their present exists, why cann`t we go there, that is, in our future, after all as you say, time is just an axis. But, this is something that only time will tell. Thanks for your response. I can't really tell since there are a lot of things that were accomplished with the help of science. A classic example is an airplane, I mean before the wright brothers were able to make an airplane who would have thought that a piece of steel can fly? who would have thought that man can travel more than the speed of sound? I think travelling at a speed of sound is already considered time travel. What seems impossible for me is to travel through time, I just can think of any explanation for science to make that happen. But who knows? Cheers!

Hmmm.. friend. That`s right, nobody can decide whether something will happen or not. However, modern science has done wonders that the heart says nothing is impossible now, with current scientific attitude. But, if you can think of travelling in space, moreover, if you can think of flying (that nobody thought a 500 years ago, as you said), why cann`t you think of travelling in time. Actually, the main problem behind any major scientific breakthrough is the human common sense.in this case also, The human common sense says, how can we travel through time, it is an abstract entity. But, there is one great explanation (only theoretically supporting time travel) from Albert Einstein`s General Relativity that says, time is only a fourth dimension, like the other three. So, if we can move forward in time, why cann`t we move back?, after all it is a dimension like the other three. This relativity theory is being successfully verified nearly daily in astronomical and cosmological explorations (if we had a time machine, we could verify the time travel support of relativity, hopefully). By the way, a note on common sense, as described above, Einstein once said, "Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by the age 18". But, as you said, Who knows?? Thanks for your response. Happy Mylotting!!

It is not bring through. I've read also the Albert Einstein theory. It was the relativity theory. The theory describes that the is a possibility to go to the future, but I'm not sure whether the theory days about the possibility to go to the past. But in my opinion, there would not such tool or machine that can bring us to the future or to the past. It is impossible. If there are people try to invent the way and creating such machine, I appreciate their contribution, but I am really sure they would not be succeed to invent it.
