Every time she gives her son minutes for his phone, he throws them away, because they're old. She's been telling him over and over those minutes are still good. Now, they're coming home and he asks her for more minutes. She just gave him some at the restaurant. He tells her "I threw them out, they were old." He acknowledges he knows that saving minutes saves money. I say, don't give it to him. You gave him some at the restaurant and he threw them out. She looks like she's thinking about not giving it to him. And notice, he looks at this little brother, but he says nothing. Even his little brother knows. If I was her, I would make him pay for all those minuted he wastes. And when he turns 18, she should cancel it and make him get his own phone. See how minutes he throws away then!

That young man does not understand the benefit of the rollover minute! Make him pay for his own phone and then see his reaction when he gets his first #300 phone bill.

The kid is a bit spoilt and does not obey his mother. If she is spoiling him now she is bound to spoil him when he is eighteen. Perhaps her husband needs to intervene and teach the kid.

Yes! I was going to mention that when I started the discussion, but never did. The husband doesn't say aq word. He just keeps driving.

This is the generation of kids who believe they should get everything for nothing and not work for it. Yes they are a bunch of spoiled brats. I just wish the mother would say NO you will not be getting any new minutes from me. She could also say how about I give you the minutes and you pay half the bill. Then we will see what he thinks about the old minutes. LOL LOL LOL

That's right. That's why when she says saving minutes saves money, he couldn't care less. It's not his money. Maybe she doesn't give him the minutes. His girlfriend is waiting for him to call but now he can't because he threw away the minutes at the restaurant. Because he doesn't call, she breaks up with him and...hey, we could make a movie out of this commercial! LOL

That is just one of the many commercials that I cannot stand. I have Verizon and I have a kid. I decided up front what I felt he needed in the way of minutes and texting. And I told him up front that if he went over he paid. He did go over on his texting he did pay the fees. Then he negotiated a deal where he could pay for a higher texting plan. He pays every month so that he can have more texting.
