Hi mylotters! Gas is so high nowadays that sometimes I think I will just start walking or riding a bike so I can save some money. Taxis are way to expensive and the city bus takes forever to take you somewhere. So what's the max you will pay for a gallon? I think my max would probably be around $4 or $5 and I would only use my car when I just had no other choice. Thanks for any responses in advance and happy mylotting!

I hate the thoughts of paying $4 to $5 for gas but since I live in a small central Illinois town that has very little in it I would have to in order to do any shopping. I am heading to the UK in 3 weeks and thank goodness I don't drive over here because they pay for a litre of gas what we pay for a gallon. There we ride public transport - bus or tram. The part I hate about it though is I have to carry my shopping. My grandson is handing in his resignation for the job he has had for a while - he drives 159 miles a night delivering individual and bundles of newspapers. When he first started they got a gas allowance with their pay but the company stopped that. It costs almost as much in gas as he gets paid per night so that is why he is quitting. Gas could and should be cheaper than it is.
