I was an English major 3 years ago and I hoped to have a job as a translator or interpreter. But I wasn't able to find a such kind job. Now I work for 3 years and seldom have chance to practice English, say nothing of interpretation. However, I have to work as an interpreter now and then in my work without any training. The problem is that I even have little knowledge of projects. WHAT CAN I DO?! What if I am not able to understand the content and just sit still...?? Terrible!

That was really terrifying when you pretend you are well verse in English. better to admit it now that you are lacing in some aspects than regret later of being insulted for pretending. However, if you know little English you will no longer have too much difficulty and you will adjust yourself to practice more...The actual conversation is enough training than in theory. you will have really a close up knowledge of the situation and if you commit mistakes. it is nice to tell to a person of your inadequacy if you have little knowledge and take an advice or better approach a colleague to teach you so that they will not be disappointing to your capability..if you really feel hesitant you better attend some classes in English lesson/training again to feel more confident in dealing with your company clients..
