My favorite red wine is Pinot Noir. Pinot Noir is the classic wine of Burgundy and in California produces wines that range in style from light to full bodied and robust. I'm from California. Pinot Noirs are especially suited to accompany lamp and game dishes. My favorite white wine is Chenin Blanc. Chenin Blanc is the variety used in the Vouvray wines of the Loire Valley of France, where it is known as the Pineau de la Loire. This is a light wine with a refreshing, fruity character. Both in France and in California it may be made dry or have a little residual sugar left in. It is a delightful picnic wine and goes well with chicken dishes. What is your favorite colors of wine and type? What foods do you eat with your wine? Have you ever tried Rose wine? Rose wine are refreshing uncomplicated wines, perfect for picnics. They also go well with ham, turkey, or other light meats. Rose can be made from a variety of grapes: Grenache, Cabernet, Zinfandel, and Gamay are perhaps the most common, and the wines range from dry to sweet.
