HELP! are you a shopaholic?

Hi Dora, and welcome to MyLot. I ditched all of my credit cards and only shop once in a while now, and mostly for things I need, or for affordable "treats." The economy was enough to form me of any and all shopaholic tendencies! If you truly do have a serious problem, I think there is professional help. Karen

I love to shop but I am not your classic shopoholic. I am on a very tight budget and I have 3 children-and no credit cards (I did years back-got into tremendous debt, and have cut myself off from ever going there again!). I am easily ammused just by shopping at Wal-Mart for household stuff and little nick-nacks for myself or the kids. My real weakness is thrift stores thoug-LOL. I can find so many great things at second hand stores and love the prices!! I find great clothes-like American Eagle jeans and Children's Place clothing for my baby and Levi's for my older son-meaning I can find great brands in like new condition, leave the store with a full bag of top quality things, and only spend 40 bucks.

Oh I am as well but I have had to stop because of the financial situation at the moment and this is where Facebook as been a big help to me, I have had to stay away from the shopping centres so I play the games like Yoville, Pets Society and the farming games so I can satisfy some of my shopping urges by buying things for my little characters with play money, not really the same but can be fun in a way.

I have just watched it as well on DVD. I love it! Though I haven't read the book yet. I gotta be honest as well, my boyfriend does not know that my 2 out of 4 cards have been maxed out!lol

Without a doubt, I am a shopholic! I tend to buy a lot, probably more than I should. I think that buying stuff is a form of escape. While it isn't good on our wallets it helps to ease the pain of daily stress. Shopping is a form of relief and a stress reliever. That is until you get the bill later!
