Which is the best flat iron for hair styling?

I need some recommendations to buy a new flat iron that keeps hair smooth and without frizz. Does your flat iron give you wonderful results? If so, which brand of flat iron do you use and think is the best? Which one is better: Ceramic, Titanium, etc? Do you use a particular product for your hair to avoid damage from heat?

Well to keep away the frizz you will first have to spray a flat iron spray onto your hair then flat iron it. I have had a chi now for some time and i haven't used an other flat iron except i believe a paul mitchell one. I like them both and they both work really good. My friend is a hair dresser and uses a paul mitchell one and she says that is the best one to use that is out there right now and works the best. My mom just bought one since her chi didn't work anymore as she has had it for a couple years now and used it everyday. She bought a 40 dollar one from walmart and so far so good and she likes it, but she does use flat iron spray that she buys from a beauty supply store in the mall.
