Why do I face this problem often

Friend, I am facing a strange problem with My lot site. I had recently upgraded my IE 7 with IE 8. After the upgrade whenever I open the Mylot site opens but when I enter username and password, it halts for very long time and shows page cannot be displayed. My internet connection is fine and even after several tries, Mylot site account of mine is not opening up.. I wonder why, same mylot site is opening up in my sister laptop and I am using Windows 7 and IE 8 there. There no such problems. So, I uninstall IE 8 and went back to IE 7. Again same error, page cannot be displayed. I got irritated and even removed IE7 and switch back to IE6. Still same problem continuing and I tried in Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. There also same problem. I and sister use same internet connection and we share internet using router, is it problem with service provider, if so then how can my sister access Mylot from her laptop. I am very much confused and not able to identify the problem. I request you to come with some troubleshoot and which browser is best for mylot site.. waiting for your reply friends..

Never faced such problem which you are facing.. I think you have only one choice is that you swift to Windows 7 or Windows Vista.. THis is will help to solve your problem. Vista and Windows 7 will automatically resolve the network problem. SO, try it and see.. all the best

Yes but buddy I have to format my hard disk and have to create new partitions because presently my HDD is 80 gb. C drive is 20 gb, so vista nor windows 7 will fit in that.. SO, have to format and buy the new hdd or make the format in such way that Vista or Windows 7 fits in that, anyhow thanks for your help..

I think sometime you need to restart your computer. if you see this problem again then you have to uninstall IE again in order to reload the page. Im not so sure... but you can try to ask someone that good with computer to check on your

I hope admin of Mylot reads this question and answer it.. Anyhow, haven't given any solution to my question, I have unistall IE and tried it but no use..

IE 8 and IE 7 has alot of problems. BUt I prefer to use them still than any other browser. I would suggest to just delete Temporary files, cookies, cache and even passwords save on you computer. and then on the content tab of your internet options clear ssl state as well.. that should already fix the problem.

My doing the all the suggestions you had given, nothing had changed. I am still facing this problem and I will browser is not the cause of the problem but internet speed.. Anyhow, thanks for your suggestions.. :)

I have the same problem in this site sometimes.Actually the problem is not of the service provider but of the server that is hosting the site mylot.com.due to large number of people joining and queueing up server with discussion ,responses,photos and many more the server at some areas gets down and the problem is faced by some of the people here.The problem is there with internet explorer though.Try using either mozzila firefox or the opera browser ,the site works well.The shared internet connection is not a problem,but the same IP is.

well friend, I found the solution and it is sharing which is making this site not open. I am using router which has Lan, Wan and Wireless network as well. But the problem stopped, when I stop sharing the internet connection with my laptop and I removed the router in between and straight away gave the modem connect to my desktop. Anyhow, thanks for your suggestions..

My PC is virus free and I am using Firefox browser and I too use most of my browsing with Firefix only. I even used a licenced Anti virus software as well. So I do not think there is any virus problem..

I use Mozilla Firefox and can use IE7 inside Firefox without problem, perhaps your connection sharing not permit access from other computer (you should check it). I don't have any browser to test it, or you can use ping [ip-address] from DOS command. I shared with my brother, it work fine.

friend my internet connection is fine and I am able to access all the other sites without much trouble. I am even able to open mylot and even able to go into login in page, when I type username and password and press the login button, it acts as if it is connecting to my account and after sometime "page cannot be displayed" page appears. In this way I am not able to access.

I am using IE 8 and not having any problems with it at all. It really doesn't make sense. Now, sometimes I have problems with firefox as when I am typing, it skips and doesn't let me see what I am typing until a few seconds later. It really doesn't make sense, as it doesn't do that with IE8 at all. I just use IE for now until I can figure out why firefox does what it does to me when I am typing. That is the only problem I am having in here, so I guess that is good. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

yes my dear friend, I too did not have this problem before, this problem of recently developed when I formatted the system. I am also using IE 8 but I am able to open mylot website but when I enter username and password, then press login, after few minutes it is showing "page cannot be displayed".. In firefox it is showing cannot find the server. I am able to access internet and all the other sites are working and opening. My Internet security system too is not blocking Mylot. What is the problem only god knows.. :(
