my dog is suffering from hairloss

i'm worried about my dog coz its fur is beginning to fall off and i think she will become bald. its not that nice to look at even she does'nt have any skin disease or wounds. i'm thinking if she has a cancer. but her appetite did'nt change at all.she eats well and play with the other dog. will my dog's fur be back again as it was or she will just be bald forever?

My first thought would be possibly allergies to something in her food. I don't know much about this in dogs, but i know my cat had a serious case of hairloss, she was almost all bald except for her tail and the fur on her head, but my vet suggested that she might be allegic to the corn in the catfood i was feeding her, as this is a common problem, and cause of hairloss in cats. So i switched her to a catfood that had no corn meal in it, and very very little gorn gluten (which doesn't cause as much in the way of problems) and with in a few weeks her fur begain growing back.
I don't know if this is as common in dogs, but you might call a vet and ask if it sounds probable.
