I have a forum that I created and have been working really hard on. I would like to know if anyone knows of an effective way to advertise and gain new members for a forum? I would also really like to know some tips on how to gain affiliates and how to find people to help with the forum.

I'm also very interested in this because in a coulpe o months i'll be making one.
does your forum belongs to a website? There are lots of companies that you can affiliate with it all depends on the forums topic. amazon and ebay are always good, to have.

I made a professional wrestling forum on proboards. I have also been helping a friend with her forum on proboards. We don't know where to look for affiliates.

try some traffic exchange sites and also microworkers.com that's a great way of doing it.

Thanks, I have used several of those sites, but I have never heard of microworkers.
