Hello! I've just had my 6th tattoo done and it's flaking. All my other tattoos have scabbed before but this time it's flaking like a sun tan but not scabbing. the tattoo under it is fine, it's looks great but I was wondering if anyone else had ever had their tattoo flake.

I only have one tattoo but it turned out great. Mine didn't scab at all but it did flake. Put some cocoa butter on it and it should stop soon. It's flaking because your skin is dry.

Flaking means the tattoo is better done! While scabbing means the tattooist put too much pressure in the needle. Just put lotion and don't worry about it, it will be fine!

Yes, petroleum jelly is good too. I put it on my lips sometimes. They put some on your skin before they inked you.

Are you putting anything on it? I used Tattoo goo and that stuff did awesome. No none of mine have ever flaked. You may want to ask the artist about it. Maybe there was something wrong with the ink.

I was using the same cream that I used for all my other tattoos which was weird. It's stopped now, the tattoo is fine.
