Favorite total war game

I dont know if any of my fellow mylotters are familiar with the PC series Total War, but they are simply the greatest games ever. They were released as follows,
Shogun Total War
Medieval Total War
Rome Total War
Medieval II Total War
Empire Total War
I think my favorite is the first of the series, Shogun. I started playing at around age 12(maybe) and I was hooked.
If you have played these games, which is your favorite? (I have all but the first Medieval)

I like the total war series as well! I like Empire the best. The ship battles, soldiers lining up shoulder to shoulder just to die from a volley of musket fire or while reloading. The best part is I can zoom in to watch them fight or take the view of one soldier, pretty intense really.
