Yes as long as you get about 10,000 steps in per day. I use a pedometer.

I walk every morning that it is not raining for about a half hour to 45 minutes, and since i started doing it i feel good all day. I have never had a problem with my weight, but i do it for my over all health. but i do have a friend that walks with me some mornings, and it is helping her weight come off but she is also on a diet, and watches what she is eating.

When I started walking in the mornings it seemed to help me with my energy levels. I also adjusted some of my eating habits too. Now I run in the mornings. I run 4 mornings and try to bike the other 2. I rest on Sunday. Sometimes I rest another day too, but I still try to walk a couple of miles.
