Since I was in middle school I began wearing glassses. At first I only wore them when I needed them in class, etc. But when I began driving I realized I needed them all the time so now I wear them everyday. In fact sometimes I don't even notice I have them on. I want to get contacts but they are more expensive and I have this thing about touching my eyes... What about you guys?

I wear glasses. In fact, I am wearing them right now; even though they are not my exact prescription (better than nothing, I guess). I plan on getting contacts in March though. I suggest that you look up therapeutic contacts. They are these contacts that you wear at night, and if you don't sleep they still do their job. What they do is they reshape your cornea temporarily so you can see in the daytime without a problem. So no contacts are bothered while you touch your eyes. Read more about it at http://www.slate.com/id/2116780 . You could probably get a free trial for at least one brand of those contacts and see if it's worth the cost! Remember, I found this for you, but I did not mention all the risks, prices, ect. Research this if your interested. Hope I helped, Rose2798

P.S.: I've worn glasses since the 4th grade and I used to HATE wearing them (and I still do; but I still feel lost if I don't have access to them). P.P.S.: I meant to say you're in "Research this if your interested."

Yes, i am using eye glasses when i am 40's i was checked up by a doctor and told me that i need use eye glasses. Eyes are very important to us so we need to protect it and at the same time always to see that it should be functioning very clearly. WE need to eat foods that are good for our eyes. Using glass is also a protection to our eyes.

If you got your first pair of glasses in your 40's you are a lucky one LOL Mine have been in my life for so long I cannot remember not having them on or needing them on. Thanks for responding...oh and yeas eating healthy is good for the eyes, but eating lots of carrots is a misnomer. I found that out awhile back. I guess it was one of those wives' tales to get us to eat our veggies. Thanks.

I had to get glasses when I was ten years old. I used them for reading and they helped me to see the blackboard at school. My eye sight got much worse over the next eight years. By the time I was eighteen years I had to wear them almost all of the time. I hated wearing them for evenings out with my friends. I went around the world when I was 20 years old and whilst there I ended up getting contact lenses. I had a chance to get used to them. On day 1 I had them on for 2 hours, day 2 for 4 hours and so on until I was wearing them for all of every day. They were disposable after two weeks and I had to store them overnight in contact lenses solution. Nowadays I wear daily disposable contact lenses. I wear a pair in the day and then throw them away before I go to bed. Contacts make a person's eyes less sensitive I would say.

I think that is also why I wear mine so often now. I used to get severe headaches from the strain of squinting...oh and the wrinkles too. LOL Thanks for responding.

Yes I do? I started wearing glasses in 8th standard. I had to wear my glasses all the time. I can't manage without them if they are broken or need a repair.
