i bought a new keyboard. right now im practicing only scales. my mother told me that she could not afford for my classes. so i would like to learn free online step by step. i found some lessons in you tube. i m just a beginner and those video's are advanced. Can someone tell me how i should go about it. i want to learn from the start and move step by step. if you are a learner or expert in playing piano, please guide me. thanks.

I'm not an expert, but I might be able to offer some advice. Have you considered going to your local Goodwill, or other secondhand store and purchasing some old books. They are usually only about a quarter a piece. A lot of times they have beginner books there, all the way up to just different music pieces. If you would like to learn to play the basics, I think this would be a great way to learn. Another thing to consider, once you have learned a few things, is to record yourself. It is always easier to catch any mistakes when you are playing it back and listening, rather than trying to listen and play at the same time. Good luck to you! I hope you do well!

We have released some software to teach you how to play piano. It is free for the first month or you can subscribe for $12/month. It does well without a teacher - you can decide if you are going to need one once you get your feet wet. I have been learning with it for a while, and have excelled quite well (not to toot my own horn, or piano as it were!) free trial: https://pianomarvel.com/users/free-trial/CB634180 subscribe: https://pianomarvel.com/users/subscribe/CB634180
