I'm still working, yes. You are right they can fire when they want. It's not seasonal but if they economy doesn't improve then they may let people go. They pay me well. I don't even try looking for a better job as I do what's required of me (most of the time I do much better than they want) and I like it how I can work and be done with it. I don't have to take my work home. I don't have to stress out about my job. At our job they usually give you warning if you doing lots of stuff wrong. However it seems like our job really shows down during the holidays so they have let some people go during that time frame. However I've been there a while and they never let me go. I'm pretty much lucky but who knows if they will at one point. I save money every pay check just in case. Plus websites like these help out with a little extra money!

I am one of the lucky ones as far as having a home. I own my own home, but have no income except what I earn online. I also clean a couple of houses with my mom, that helps. I feel so sorry for people. I do believe that the economy is taking a turn for the better and things are going to get better.

My husband's hours keep getting cut back, but we are managing somehow. We are lucky that we still have our house (we are behind in other bills, but I always amke sure that the car insurance, the house insurance and the mortgage is always current). Personally, I can live without the satellite tv and I just signed up for Magic Jack (the phone company that charges $19.99 a year). I had to have long distance since my family lives so far away and I need to keep in contact with them. I am looking for a job and am also in the process of putting my crafts online and am hoping to sell. I think even in a bad economy people will spend a little for Christmas. I make ornaments, bath salts and soap. All these items are really inexpensive to make and not very time consuming so I think I will do alright.
