so incredibly slow! downloading songs and videos are excruciating when I have to wait an hour for each to download. maybe its karma for downloading illegally? maybe its the interent connection? or maybe...its the limewire? youre thoughts? cheers, D

Must be your connection. Generally it takes me 1-3 minutes to get a song off of Limewire, and that's with a full queue of 10 or 12 downloads at a time. Of course the more sources you can pull a file from the faster it will download so the more obscure stuff is going to work more slowly but that's really the only thing I've noticed.

1. Dont use LimeWire, download FrostWire (Open Source fork!) 2. Its most likely your connection. If you can get downloads via your browser at "normal speed" but in LW not, then this must be the cause. 3. Karma :P

I have no problem with it usually. If it's a larger file and few people have it, it might be a bit frustrating, but to download a normal song it only usually takes a minute or two for me. In fact, I just downloaded like 10 songs in the last 10 minutes... What type of internet connection do you have, by the way?
