I think is is a lot of sensationalism and is not very relevant. As for his earlier predictions, if you go deep, you will find that it was always a very general statement, which was 'interpreted' specially to suit the situation. Give no thought to this prediction.

The world has been predicted to end several times already trough many years by many so called investigators who discovered Nostradamus or some other guys ancient writing. You know what? I think people have learned plenty since then, we (at least I) have learned that speculation is not always a very good thing to live with, specially of this kind where one doesn't finish biting their nails watching stupid news of world disgrace. I'm far better living life in the present MY opportunity, not someone else's I don't even know if I'll make it by the end of the day, but at least I should not live worried wondering if I will.

The way I see it, it doesn't mean that the world will end and all humans will vanish. It doesn't make sense. God created the world with everything inside it and then in the year 2012, he decided to close the world like closing a department store From the info I got, there will be a lot of disasters that cause many deaths in 2012. It looks like God is planning to replace some people with new generation. The cause of deaths are varied from time to time. It can be natural disasters, sicknesses, etc. In total of that, there will be a lot of deaths in 2012. Anyway, we just hope the best and nothing happen to all of us and our family

In the year 2012, we are said to leave the age picses and enter the aquarius age in the pagan zodiac/equinox. I don't really think the world is going to end. However, the human population is quickly endangering itself with our irresponsible life styles. Extinction is no stranger in nature and human is not separate from nature. After our industrial revolution we have forced 55,000 species per year into extinction. We are creating a global climate change with all our pollutants, and we may not survive if we keep seeing all these natural catastrophes.

I don't believe in this 2012 malarkey. Just like everyone freaked out over Y2K its probably going to be the exact same thing.
