I would like to know why you went vegan. I have many reasons but number one would be just knowing where your food really comes from.

I am a vegetarian (vegan). I am not a converted vegetarian. I am a born vegetarian. I will continue as a vegetarian and I will never convert to non-vegetarian. I consider eating animals or any other organism as a sin. They have equal right for existence in the world. Man should not show his superiority by killing such animals for his pleasure. It is a shame on the part of human race. Please friend continue to stay as a vegan.

We want some say on how our food is grown and prepared. Im tired of dyes, chemicals and non-foods in present-day mixes and meats. Time for a healthier lifestyle than absorbing meat fats. Here try this: UnSloppy Joes INGREDIENTS 1 tablespoon olive oil 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup chopped celery 1/2 cup chopped carrots 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper 1 clove garlic, minced 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder 1 tablespoon tomato paste 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed 8 kaiser rolls DIRECTIONS Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, celery, carrot, green pepper, and garlic: saute until tender. Stir in tomatoes, chili powder, tomato paste, vinegar, and pepper. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes. Stir in kidney beans, and cook an additional 5 minutes. Cut a 1/4 inch slice off the top of each kaiser roll; set aside. Hollow out the center of each roll, leaving about 1/2 inch thick shells; reserve the inside of rolls for other uses. Spoon bean mixture evenly into rolls and replace tops. Serve immediately

i ate meat a lot when i was a kid. like steaks and fish. well now i just cant stand to eat it. i think it's because thats all i used to eat. now the only meat i eat is chicken. i didnt become a partial vegan for knowing where my food came from. cause i took foods class in high school so i knew where it came from. sometimes i eat beef liver but it has to be moist and not too much. i just recently started eating pork fritters. they are really good. they are from pork tenderloins. but as i said maybe once a month or less.

I went vegan when there was the scare that BSE in cows could be passed through milk to people. I then thought carefully about what I was doing and gave up all animal products. I now wouldn't consider harming an animal by eating any part of it or its products. I think its cruel. And now I'm a lot healthier too.
