How to make a call without showing my number?

I think there's a two-digit code you enter before the actual number, but I forgot. Why would be want to be prank calling anyway, it's a waste of your time and the person you're trying to prank call. Just saying...

Why would I want to do this? The way the world is now, doing a prank call is outrageous.

It's amazing how one simple little question can stir up such a ruckas. I will tell you how and I don't care why you want to know. It's a well known feature, and either someone on here will tell you and get paid for writing a great reply to you, or you can always find out for free by asking the phone carrier via telephone or internet. All you have to do is press *67. That works on cell phones or landlines. If you are calling from a landline and their number is restricted and you want to temporarily show the number then you press *68. And if you want to call a number back that you just missed but their number was restricted, then you press *69. If in the future you have any questions please feel free to ask, because if no one else will give you a straight answer, I will.

Oh you wanted to help your friend... I don't know what to tell you becuas eIhave no idea about it. But I think you can tell your friend to do it on her own seeing it is her own thing, you dont' want to do such silly things.

chelseaalawn, I think calling from another land line, like a public phone would be very much easier here. Anyway, you will need to check if your mobile service provider has the hidden caller-id service in your friend's or your cellphone subscription plan. You may need to pay additional for this service. If you have. Then, you can go to your cellphone's "Calls"setup and select "Show/Hide My Number", once there, select "Hide My Number" and confirm or save before exiting. Please note this will vary with your cellphone brand and model. You can either check your phone's manual or cellphone service provider's helpdesk when you are in doubt and/or lost.
