What is a true console? Mother's embrace / friends or partner's hugs?

I am somehow a person that on my own most of the time.. the best place of console will be me hiding in my tightly wrap comforter at night.. I feel better after a night embracing my comforter and sleep through the night.. and the next morning, I be singing like a little bird again..

To me the true console would be any person with whom I am comfortable, who I can trust and whose hug I know is genuine. I have my mother but I have really forgotten when was the last time she hugged me. My husband is my one and only true console but then he is not the hugging type, you know. Yet, he is the person I am most comfortable with…even if he is not hugging me, I know he is understanding my problem truly and whatever he is saying, comes straight from his heart.

This is a type of attention that for me calls on more than one person. I need my mom in certain situations ,I also need my husband. I have a friend also who will tell me ,I am right even if I'm wrong. So depending on my reasons for needing to console with another ,has alot to do with the situation itself.

Long long ago, my mother told me church could be my final console. She meant not only for God, but referred to a religious family. I am finding that very true. Parents have got old and they could not understand a young man's feeling sometimes. Though they are still very kind and try their best to comfort and love me selflessly, it has been so many times that they could not give a reasonable advice. Though we still love, their embrace are not true consoles for me. But in the church, when you pray could you forget how your world is grey. You could calm down in the environment and see everything with a justicial eye. People hope and fail, things begin and end. Those are all natural and to be admired. And thus you will get the final peace inside you.

i think mother's embrace is the best thing..no other person can replace it

When I am upset I love the way my husband holds me and tells me everything will be ok, but there is nothing like a warm hold from your mother... I feel safe with my hubby but I feel even more safe with my mother. like the world will never hurt me and she will protect me... :O)

I don’t have the relationship I would love with my mother so a mother’s embrace is something I missed out on in my life but I am making up for it by being the best mum I can be to my daughter so she can rely on my embrace for comfort which I think she already does. These days I rely on my child and my pets for comfort. I don’t burden my problems on my child and she is only seven and, silly as it sounds my animals are the best stress relievers and bearers of unconditional love.

Place of console for every heart in this world, i think it must be a mother's embrace. But i dont live with my mom anymore, so i often share my fall heart to my God. It makes me feel save and comfort.

for me i feel comfortable by discussing everything with my mother coz not everytime we cant trust our friends and i feel its my mother's embrace .but for some people friends rally do mattersonly frends can console them but whenever i need someone in my bad times or need to discuss anything my parends are there for me always.

there is nothing like a mother's embrace it feels like heaven.

A mother's hug gives us comfort and soothing, a friend's hug gives solace and warmth, where as a partner or a husband's hug gives both

I like my mother's hands. Everytime I touched it, I felt comfortable.

There is one thing about parents. They are there for u forever. U can have differences with friends, or the friend may not understand u as well as ur parent, being as young as u r. Nothing in the world can be greater than a parent. As always, we tend to take our blessings for granted. It is only when the blessing disappears, we realize its true worth. I am fortunate to have woken early. :-)

As for me, my mother consoles me the best. She understands me very well and I always talk out my problems with her instead of my friends. No matter how big or small the problem I am facing, my mum is always there for me. She is always alert on my feelings and she can sense when I am sad or angry and happy too. Friends console would be rather a sympathy kind but mothers console is always the empathy type.

You are so right that God will comfort the soul, But their are many times during our lives that a mothers embrace will help us get through the rough spots in our lives expecally when we are growing up. I also count on My husbands embrace now to help me get through the times when i need it.

Good day phillip_shiny, Well for me I feel it my own's mother embrace, specially when I do not what to do with my problems. But when it come's with some love life problem, I really feel much comfortable to be comfort by my friends, cause I am too shy to tell my parents about those things .

I would have to say that anyone in my family that gives me a hug, it means a lot to me and gives me confort. But yes, I would have to agree with you and say that the one that really consoles me would have to be my mother. Half the time, I don't open up about things around her, but as soon as she tries to hug me, I totally break down and everything comes falling out of my mouth lol. She is totally amazing I love her :)
