What is the difference?

Hello all, as many of you might know I have recently made a blog about making money. Well it's still a working progress. Soon it will have more earning sites on there. But that is not where the question comes in at. Well a friend of mine from mylot walked me through getting a globe for my blog. So I check back to it through out the day. Well it says that I have had 70 Visitors and 2 Hits. I am confussed on what is the difference between a hit and a visit. If someone could please explain that to me, I would apperciate it a lot.
