When Healthy Becomes Unhealthy

I started to cut meals recently in my desire to go back to shape. I skipped lunch and lessened my rice intake for the day. I used to have 2 cups of rice every meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) not to mention, there were snacks in between and that's when I started to gain pounds in no time. When you get busy with work and secured love life, you don't care about these things anymore. As long as you can afford things you want to eat, that's fine. However, I began to notice that I'm gaining weight so fast. Not to mention I used to have 27-inch waistline. Let's not talk about what it is now. I also began to hear comments "You look bigger now", "You looked smaller the last time I saw you" and the most brutal of them all "Are you pregnant?". None of those comments made me feel good about myself so when I realized I need to trim down, I began asking which ways can help me lose weight in no time. I experimented. I took diet pills, to no avail, they just won't work. They didn't break my appetite. They even caused me hyper acidity so I stopped them. I skipped meals and forget about fried chickens during lunch time and erased ice creams and chocolates for desserts. They helped a little. A little because when I start to pity myself, I see myself eating those sweets again. I am helpless. But to make this short, I exert a little effort for me not to disappoint myself. I know getting back to shape can't be done overnight. It takes discipline, effort and patience. Now, I only take one cup of rice every meal, no more skip meals but I had to give up in-between snacks; no more ice creams and chocolates (only occasionally of course because I still do love them) and a little exercise (when I'm not too lazy). No pain no gain as the old cliche goes. I have to do these continuously until I get my desired weight again. I'm getting a little progress. I lost some pounds now, but I have to do focus more attention to my belly. That portion of the human body is the most stubborn. It just won't shrink no matter what you do. Do you know anything that helps reduce the size of your belly in no time (to mention, I am NO drinker)?

I heard skipping meals isn't a good thing to do. In order to lose weight by changing your eating patterns is to either eat only 3 meals a day( nothing more nothing less) or eat up to 6 small meals a day. Also drinking water will help to even though most people think it doesn't.

Hi. Drinking water didn't work for me. In fact, I think I consume at least 8 liters a day. I drink water cold. I think drinking water at room temperature would make a difference because I notice cold water freezes whatever food you have in your stomach thus, slowing your metabolism (this of course has no scientific explanation hehehe).

Just to comment on the room temperature water. I heard it's better to drink cold water because once inside your body. The body has to warm it and in doing so burns calories. Not alot but better than no additional calories burned right? And this is just by drinking ice cold water.

Hahaha. Then this is what we call conflicting information. Alright, I'll check really which would be best to drink when you are in a fad diet: COLD or ROOM TEMPARATURE water. I'll research on this and I'll get back to you once I have a definite answer. Whatever it is, I hope I could figure out soon ways to slim down. =)
