Missing a whole page of responses??? Ack!

Hello fellow Mylotters. An odd thing...twice now, I have missed an entire page of responses to a couple of discussions I started. I went back and replied as I discovered the oversight while scanning to choose a best response. Does this ever happen to you? Does it bother you when someone seems to have taken days or even weeks to acknowledge and reply to your response on their discussion? I keep wondering how I missed a whole page! Karen

Hi Karen! It appears very disappointing to read that whole page of responses and comments went missing. It has not happened with me so far.

Hello my friend. As I told Kris above, I think I communicated in an unclear way. The pages of responses didn't vanish or go missing. Rather, I over-looked them somehow, but cannot figure out just why or how. lol. I was wondering if anyone else had ever done this. It caused my replies to responses to show up very late, and I felt bad about that. Karen

Exactly, my friend. It happens every time I rush anywhere in life...I end up missing something important. I think I will save the rushing for deadlines and emergencies only from now on :) Karen

I forgive you, I know for sure you respond to posters so no worries. but yes I get a little annoyed when I shared a thought only to get no feedback, happened a couple of times but I am not worried still new I will get the hang of things.

This is why I feel bad if I have overlooked any one, let alone a whole page! I think it is important to respect and respond with reasonable promptness when someone has been kind enough to join a discussion I start :)) Sleep well. Karen

Hi Kitty...thank you for the forgiveness. I never enjoy over-looking anyone. But some people do give little feedback. That can make it hard to keep a discussion going :) Karen

Yes I am still waiting for a few responses, I can be long winded and when I respond I respond from my heart, would like to get a hi or boo to let me know I am not wasting my time, I find I do get responses from other posters not the person that started the discussion. sad but true.

It all depends on how you look at mylot. For me mylot and some other forums are a time fillers, diversions, or deviations from a routine, a place to let my hair down, and as well as learn something new. In case I am stuck somewhere, I start responding and before you know it, I end up with a solution to the what bothered me. The solution comes to me not necessarily from mylot or the other forums, just that once my mind has moved away from the problem for a few minutes and the answer suddenly becomes so obvious. Though I haven't initiated a discussion since more than a year, I do participate by responding to queries. I don't take anything here personally. No offense intended.

Ah yes, if I am in the mood, and feel that a technical glitch needs to be rectified, then I contact the admin at mylot or the other forums, but then it all depends upon my inclination and the time at my hands at that point of time.

You are very laid back and non-judgmental, it seems. A few others do take things more personally. It wasn't mylot's glitch, but an oversight on my own part. Like you, I do find that if I'm wrestling with something, diverting my mind from it can make the answer suddenly clear when I return to the problem at hand! Karen

Is it me? I didn't read what you aid like the previous two responses did It seems you received the responses and forgot to comment right? In that case I am guilty too. I just can't seem to catch up with one particular dicussion. eaxh time Ipromise myself I'm going back to commenton all of them, more responses arrive on others and in an attempt to not let them get behind, the other one gets neglected again! I know that most get back eventually, most almost immediately, but to me later is better than never

Hi Diana. Yes, you read me right lol. I just couldn't figure out how I could over-look an entire page of responses to a discussion I had started. Just boof! Didn't catch them until much later. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one LOL. Thank you for your reply. Karen

Hello my friend PeacefulWmn9 Ji, Whatever we write here, it becomes legally right with myLot, as we hav ebeen paid for the same. It might have been deleted due to various reasons, or might have been removed un-intentionally. You may write to myLot and find out. But so far it has never happened with me. may be that, I hardly start any discussions an dtehn may not be getting even one page response. May God bless you and have a great time.

Hello my friend PeacefulWmn9 Ji, In my case, responses are never more than single page with lot of place still spared. But you have shown your courage by posting such discussion, from bottom of your heart, which clears all clouds of doubts in anybody's mind. May God bless You and have graet time.

Hello dear friend. The responses were there, but since there were 3-4 pages of them, I simply missed seeing and commenting back on the one page for so long that my responses to friends were so late. That made me feel bad. I have learned to check more carefully! Peace to you, Karen

This is odd indeed but totally acceptable. Sometimes, it is really easy to overlook all those responses, not because you intend to but with several other discussions to keep an eye on, it is easy to lose track. This is even more true when you are posting several discussions at once and there are several people commenting at the same time, not that we're complaining though. but as for me, I don't really mind when other people whom I have sent a response to would take days to respond back to whatever I posted because I'd probably busy too working on some other discussions. So, don't be too hard on yourself.

Hi Abby :) That is exactly what happened. At least it has taught me to be more careful to make sure I've checked each page thoroughly! Thank you for the encouragement. Karen

Yes, Mimpi. That is exactly when I found mine...when going through them to choose best responses. By then, I feel foolish commenting, but I do so. I just hate the thought that sometime might feel I didn't think they were worth the effort! Have a great day. Karen

Hi Karen...I try to get to all the discussions within five days. If they are older than that I just delete them because it was my fault for not getting to them in a timely manner. I hate it when I have to delete discussions but soemtimes I just don't have time to get to all of them and other times it is a topic that I know nothing about. I do not like to just answer I don't know.....So I will delete those discussions. I have been on a dry spell lately with trying to think of topics for discussions. Hopefully it will clear soon. flutterby

Hello my friend. I try to do be prompt, as well, and feel bad if I somehow over look an entire page!! I have those times, too, when my mind just seems to go blank when it comes to discussing something interesting. That spell will pass for you :) Have a blessed day. Karen

AWWWE! At times things that happen here in mylot ar a little scarry. I hope the newbies do not get disheartened by reading these posts. I understand ho hard it would have been for you Karen. I just can't imagine posts vanishing from my discussions. Did you inform about this to the mylot team? Check what happened with the responses and please keep us updated on the mylot response to the issue. All the best.

Hi Kris. I think perhaps I wasn't clear enough about what happened lol. The pages didn't disappear, but I somehow over-looked them for days or weeks, until I went to re-read them and choose a best response. I just can't figure out how I missed reading entire pages...twice! Sorry for the confusion Karen
