Human trafficking is the fastest-growing criminal industry in the world. 'Human Trafficking' means the recruitment, transportation, harbouring,or receipt of people for the purposes of slavery, forced labor(including bonded labor or debt bondage),and servitude. Trafficking victims typically are recruited using coercion, deception, fraud, the abuse of power, or outright abduction. In March 2009, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) launched the Blue Heart Campaign to fight human trafficking, to raise awareness, and to encourage involvement and inspire action. The total annual revenue for trafficking in persons is estimated to be between $5 billion and $9 billion. People trafficking has reached epidemic proportions over the past decade, with a global annual market of about $42.5 billion. All the above facts have been retrieved from the Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_trafficking I just wanted to share these shocking facts with all my fellow Mylotters. What are views on this global problem??

For this, we the good people should rush to every place there is some calamity. Save folks who are completely ruined financially. Then, we should have weekends at some villages, explaining to them that they can contact us before they agree to join some job.

I think this is a very serious problem. In one word it is 'barbaric'. This crime, like most others have been neglected by the governments. People who are being sold are treated like slaves or even worse. I wonder why we hear so little about these crimes. These are worse than murders.
