Till one month ago, I thought that swine flu is something happening far away and I don't have to worry about that. Today, I saw in the news that more than 1000 people are affected by swine flu in India. 27 people died in India due to this disease. There are 25 affected people in my state and 3 people in my city. Many people are wearing masks and many schools announced leave for one week-one month. Some schools made it compulsory for students to wear masks.
Are you under the threat of swine flu?

Yeah you are right,H1N1 spreads very rapidly in our country.So i think we all are under the threat of Swine flue.Scientists say it had occurred once ,a 60years before,which swept away almost one fourth of the total world populations.Of course then,the medical field was not much advanced as todays.Lets take such preventions against this,wear masks,wash hands and face after a journey.

I am sorry that I created this discussion under the wrong interest. I wanted to create it under the interest 'Life', but by mistake I created it here. Yes, prevention is very important. I think the government should take some necessry steps to prevent the disease like providing masks to poor people and children. Thanks for the response.

Thanks for sharing the information with me. I thought that it is against the rules. I created this discussion under the wrong interest by mistake. I got into the place where I should write the description of discussion and completely forget about what interest I chose. It is nice to see that people in Chennai are coming out of the fear of swine flu slowly.

Yes.Earlier it was in other cities but now Calcutta too has been affected by this deadly disease.Though few people have been affected here,we are all being alerted about the do's and don't by the government.Articles are being published in newspapers and programs are being telecast on television channels to help us know the precautions to avoid getting this virus transmitted to our bodies.I saw on TV that the condition in Pune is severe and so many deaths have already taken place there.I am a bit worried as Calcutta was safe till a week ago but now is in the grip of this virus.We are being told not to visit foreign territories or states affected by swine flu but I doubt that will help too much.The disease is spreading at an alarming rate and only a degree of caution can keep us safe from its grasp.

Yes, I heard that it has affected a lot in Calcuatta and it is spreading also. I have a colleague who is basically from Calcutta, but currently lives in Chennai. He gives us the updates about swine flu in Calcuatta. Is the government taking necessary actions? I wonder. Please take precautions my friend. Take care. Thanks for the response.

No,unfortunately the government is not that careful about taking prompt action.You know work goes on at a slow pace here.We do not have excellent standards of health care here but patients are getting admitted into the ordinary hospitals where I doubt how much they are being attended to.I am really scared.But I will be very careful.Thanks friend!

The virus is every where's in the world and people are dying all over the place from it but the regular flu also kills a lot of people every year too though so what is really the difference between them both they seem to both have the same symptoms.

Prevention of Swine flu has three components: prevent in swine flu, prevent on transmission to humans, and prevention to its spread among humans..... I hope they find solution to this disease
