Luck or Destiny?

Which of the two you believe? LUCK or DESTINY? I've been asking this to myself many times of which among the two would i prefer. There were many things i wanted in my life but almost all of them are not granted. Well, i guess you know the feelings of being deprived of your desires. I keep on telling to myself that time will come i'm gonna learn certain things. I had an experience when i was still in grade 6, that's elementary in our level of education. I envied my classmates who were playing chess because i didn't know how to play that game. What i said was, time will come that i would just know how to play chess. When i reached 1st year high school, i was just amazed because at the end of that year i begun playing chess already. I even forgot to eat my lunch because i was really addicted to that game. The most interesting thing is when i reached second year i was chosen to become one of the players of chess who would compete in a certain competiton. That was the start of my life being a chess player. I was a chess player since 2nd year until 4th year high school. when i reached college i also tried playing during entramurals. Well that's the end of the story. right now i'm not playing chess anymore but i still do know how to play chess. In your own opinion is this a luck or a destiny?
