Emotional/Internal Conflict SOLUTIONS!

Our evolutionary past has equipped us with emotions which do everything from heightening our senses in times of danger to making us feel guilty when doing wrong to a fellow human. Emotions play a huge part in the way we conduct out lives, interact socially, and most importantly how productive we are. Positive emotions can also have a great impact on a persons life. Positive feelings and emotions can drive a person to accomplish whatever they desire. They can improve productivity and allow a person to think in a manner which makes every situation an opportunity rather than an ordeal. Emotions, specifically the negative emotions are capable of crippling the way we live and think. Whether it be guilt, or a sense of sadness from a recent breakup, emotions can wreak havoc on your psychological and physical health. This is why I have made it a personal goal of mine to try and understand what causes these horrifically crippling feelings and how to correct them. What to do when depressed, lonely, or feeling badly about yourself in general. 1. Do something active or productive. This gives you a sense of creativity and if nothing else, distracts you from whatever might be troubling you at the time. 2. Make a list of the things you enjoy or the things that inspire you. Alternatively make a list of the things about yourself that you see as a positive, I know this is hard in certain situations but it will also prepare you to make realistic goals to improve your happiness. 3. Don't Dwell on the past. Work with what you've got at the time. Things will get better with time and if you are only getting bad things from life in your perspective then try a different approach to the way you do, and see things. When you look at an activity or situation in your life don't focus on the negatives but rather how you can help the situation or be rid of it if necessary. 4. Know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE in any type of negative emotions you experience. Also know that you are never "stuck" or "helpless". There is always something you can do to improve your situation, and simply taking the initive to do something makes all the difference =D 5. Lastly understand that although life might seem bad it can only get better if you chose to make it better. Give yourself a reason to live and be happy, and that's what you'll achieve. I hope this helps anyone feeling badly about anything, these methods have helped me in numerous occasions.
