My friend absolutely loves chilli, and he's invited me to eat with him tonight, and he's cooking! (: I've read somewhere that bread and milk can help get rid of the spicy sensation in your mouth. Anyone else know of a better way or care to clarify this information? (: My tastebuds are kinda sensitive.

Bread, milk, yogurt (curds) are a good way to take away the 'hot' sensation of chilli from your mouth. In India, we have a drink known as 'lassi' made from a mixture curds a number of condiments and water-this is a good drink for the summer as well as for reducing the problem that one has the next day during a regular constitutional after consuming too much of chilli. I have eaten in your country HK, and what is considered as spicy is pretty tame when compared to some of the hot and spicy stuff from the Indian cuisine, I suggest that you prepare yourself well. Have a 'hot and spicy' time! (pun intended, but no offense intended!)

Hey there, and thanks for posting (: It's true (: Hong Kong 'spicy' cuisine is nothing compared to spicy foods anywhere else in the world. I ate poppadoms at my friend's house, and even that was spicy enough for me (: Haha (: Think of that (: I didn't even make it halfway through the appetizer.
