My kid is only half a year old now. So for me the biggest cost for him is the milk and food which will cost about USD150 per month . We don't buy any new clothes because his siblings have many old clothes for him which save a lot of money . It's ok for us now. What about you ? Do you have a headache for the cost ?

Cost doesnt give me so much of a headache as here in the UK you get something called "child benefeit" which every parent gets no matter how much money they make, i just use that money to cover food costs for my daughter. I heard that formula in the US is ridiculously expensive, you guys pay around $25 for a tin of powder formula?

Right we have to pay arond or over USD25 for a tin of powder formula. A baby needs about 3 tins a month. I'm not from US and here in China raising a baby becomes more and more expensive and we don't have any "child benefit". Thanks for sharing your experience.

Right now my oldest is only 6yrs old. SO for the most part the most expensive thing is groceries! Man when they get in their growth spurts man do the groceries disappear. Clothes and such not so much cause I buy from rummage sales as much as possible and put stuff away in bigger sizes. Otherwise I only shop clearance in the store unless I absolutly need to get the item.

I have two children, 19 months and 7 months old, so they both need completely separate things. Around here, baby food and diapers are so expensive! My daughter goes through 1 large can of formula in about 4 days and eats about 2 plastic containers of baby food a day! I am lucky because Parent's Choice made a formula brand so it is half the price of other formulas. Also, with my older daughter, she drinks A LOT of milk (which is great!), and she loves to eat. When we go grocery shopping, which is what we did yesterday, we ended up spending a little over 100 dollars, and we realized that we literally bought almost nothing for ourselves to eat lmao, most of it was for her. I dont care as much about we eat, I always want her to have healthy, nutritional stuff to eat, and that she has somewhat of variety and doesnt have to eat the same exact things every day. Also, don't forget diapers!!! I spend about 100$ a week almost on diapers, formula, and food for our children. I never realized how much it was, and believe me it sounds like a lot, but we barely can make it to the next paycheck! Man lol. At least we have two girls and millions of hand me downs for my younger daughter. My elder daughter is the one to worry about buying new clothes for. *sigh*

We are just in the same situation as you that after having our baby we buy nearly nothing for ourselves. We don't have time for ourselves and we don't care about ourselves at all. We always want the baby to eat more, be more healthy . Well we don't use diapers any more even if he is only half a year old. He is ok with this .
