Where did you go on veacation this summer? Or didnt you go at all because of the economical crisis or just because you for other reasons couldnt afford it nor had the time for veacation? If you had time or money for veacation where would you want to go? I went to Barcelona for 4½ days with my boyfriend. Since im still a poor student for a few more months with just my study income, we just found some fairly decent priced plantickets and a good located decent Hotel in Barcelona, nothing else planned and just beeing impulsive. I really enjoyed this veacaton and spending time as a turist for the first time in some years. IF anybody dont know where to go, then there is many things to experience in Barcelona.

You sound really happy with your choice for your vacation. I bet you had really good weather too? I didn't go anywhere... yet I don't like going in the summer when everywhere is packed and costs more. I can go at any time of the year so I usually choose spring and autumn rather than mid summer. I am now almost booked for the last two weeks in September - destination top secret or it might be packed there too!

Hello my dear friend, it has certainly been some time... We had amazing weather, first 3 days with no clouds at all, and just the burning sun, and like the rest of most of western Europe Spain was also under a heatwave, so there was 8-12 degrees celcious above normal, a little to warm for me, and even my boyfriend found it nice visiting some stores because of the Air Conditioning... You make me currious about your veacation destination, you dont want to tell anything about it at all? beside for the last two weeks of september? By then i will be all over head into my thesis...

I am just a bit further east and round a few bends and it is still darn hot here! Too hot, much too hot even for a vacation. Herethe shopping centres are crowded too because it is cool and not always because people are interested in buying anything. Well if I tell you where it will be, you would be busy then but... what about all the others who read here?

Yeah i saw on the CNN Weather news that Rome was around 36 degrees C or so these days, so i can imagine Italy is hot. When was in Milan earlier this year (end may) i meet the lovely temperature of 30-34 degrees C, even then it felt hot. I can imagine alot of people visit the supermarkets simply because of the airconditioning, and that it is a way to get the time to go, rather than sitting at home. Then once you get home from veacation you just have to tell about it :D Now when you wont tell me the secret.. haha

we went to the beach near us, its about 1 hour drive, we have lots of fun there, playing with the waves, sun bathing, building sand castle, and do playing volley ball. We love to sleep there over night. We are happy spending our vacation there.

That sounds really relaxing to me, but yet combined with a bit of activity in the veacation. The beach is always so lovely, just listening to the waves, and even better if the temperatures are so you can play in them, and that there aint to much dangerous streams in the water. Beach Volley is such a nice sport, ive always liked playing Volley, but it takes a bit more than 2 persons to play it, unless you know somebody that wants to play.

I went camping with my family. Usually we would somewhere like Reno or Vegas where my mother and grandmother would gamble and me and my grandfather would walk around enjoying the scenery but we couldn't this year because of money troubles. Camping is cheaper since we only have to rent a campsite and those things go for 20 to 30 dollars a night.

I believe that the price doesnt determine if you get a positive memorable veacation or not. The Barcelona trip was also partly on discount basis, and my boyfriend paid more of the trip than i did, simply because he got a good decent job and im a student. When you go on camping you have one of the most perfect opportunities to spend time with your family, you are bound to be together in the evenings on quite few aquaremeters and get some great bonds im confident. In my family we never went camping, i guess because none of them seemed to have a fancy of beeing in neither tent or camper. Maybe you have camping opportunities in the close area so it isnt a far travel, and just a few days?

Well, I went with my wife to Virginia Beach. But a coworker owned the beach house so I saved some money. I can't really call it a vacation. It was our Honeymoon. But it was a vacation from work, and my wife got a break. It was beautiful.

Ahh lovely, I would somehow clasify Honeymoon as veacation, just a different kind of one, i congratulate you on your marriage and best wishes for the future. Did you reach to see some things while you where there or was it pure relaxation at the beach?
