Do you keep your cupboard (closet) always properly arranged?

It is very important for me to keep my cupboard clean and properly arranged. I live in a hostel and many girls live here just throw their clothes into the cupboard. I can never do that. When I was a kid, I used to make a mess and my mother had a tough time arranging cupboard.
Do you keep your clothes always properly arranged?
What about the other members of your family? Will they do the same?

Hai daliaj!I always want to maintain my cupboard neat.But I can't.Every time I arrange my things,I can't cope up for more than two days.Even then I don't have any problem because I have only few set of dresses and it is easy for me.So,I don't worry much about keeping my cupboard neat.Cheers!

I know about Indian guys, espcially south Indian guys. They don't care much about cleaning or cupboard because they always think that there wife is there to do that work. I don't know about you; you might be an exception. My dad often asks my mom if he misses something. He doesn't seem like having the patience of searching. This would never happen if the clothes are arranged properly.

Well, I would wish to disagree. I live with a guy who is obsessed (like his mom) about keeping his things in perfect order. He will exactly know where he kept his car keys/kerchief etc and can find them. He hates if I rearrange his things because then he can't find his things. It was a source of silly arguements earlier but now we are happy as we have our own space to arrange our things. :)

And most important, this guy is a South Indian. Very disciplined and neat. Actually sometimes I feel we live in a museum and not a house. :)

I guess a neat cupboard is a reflection of your personality, in some ways.
I'm kind of obsessive when it comes to keeping my cupboard neat and tidy.
People at home sometimes wonder at the extremes I go to, in order to keep my cupboard looking neat.
It helps when I'm in a hurry. I can easily find what I'm looking for. The thing is, it soothes my mind - to open my cupboard, find everything in its own corner, neatly folded or hung up - as the case may be.
It provides a semblance of order in this otherwise confused world.

Thanks for the response. You are right, it is a resemblance of personality. I like to keep my cupboard clean, but at the same time if my mother asks me to clean my sister's or brother's cupboard, I will be irritated. 
When I was a kid, my mom always insisted us to keep our cupboard clean. She had her own ways of inspection and sometimes my sister used to get punishment for keeping her cupboard messy.

A neat and tidy closet is the best source of joy for me. I feel euphoric sometimes when I go around the house cleaning up every corner and then standing back to admire my handiwork. Its a great feeling to keep looking at a tidy cupboard day in and day out. :)

Yes i do like to be disciplined in life. We dont have a cupboard at home. Instead we arrange all our clothes in a stell almirah. Yes most of them at home are disciplined when it comes to neat and tidy. What u had for brakfast?

It is good to hear that you are leaving a disciplined life. It is even more better if your family memebers follows it. My husband is cleaner compared to keep. He keeps everything arranged properly and in a good order. At my home, my sister and brother are messy; especially my brother and my mother had a tough time managing them. Thanks for the response.

Hi Daliaj, Yes I do keep my cupboard mostly arranged and neat, but there are times when my cupboard looks absolutely improper and very bad, I have the habit of arranging the dresses all neatly folded in the same way, I love my cupboard that way, but not for long, soon it becomes a mess somehow, and I keep arranging often.

I arrange my clothes and shorts, separate it in some part. There's part for jeans and shorts, part for skirts, daily t-shirt, gown, sweater, rarely-used one and too big and too small one. I learn this from my mom, she do it with our cupboard and when I moved to my room with my own cupboard, I arrange my clothes too like her. It helps me to find clothes quickly and know what kind of clothes that I need.
But honestly, I feel lazy if I need to arrange it everyday, so after I use certain clothes, I hang it behind the door or if it still can be used, I fold it and enter it again inside the cupboard in its par

It is great to know that you arrange your clothes properly and you have a plan about it. I know that you are proud to say that you got this habit from your mother. You gave me a good point of arraging the clothes depends on its variety. Here onwards, I am going to arrange shirts together, pants together, undergarments together, and house coats together. I always arrange my clothes and things neatly. Even in my work place I try to maintain my desk neatly. I may have my water bottle nearby but never any clutter. I am also a minimalist and I like to have very less things around, in my room or office. :)
