I have a question for Taipei Origin. I was just browsing your country in the net and would like to hear directly from you. I am doing this for a friend, she will be visiting Taipei soon. I have the following question: 1. What is your language? Is it true that you most of you don't speak English? 2. How much is the exchange rate from your money to Dollars? 3. For you, what is the must see place in your country? Hope that I get a reply on this. Thanks.

I'm not from Taipei, but I was been able to live there for about 2 years. The language that Taiwanese speak is mandarin. Most of them don't really know how to speak English, but if you're going to dine in some famous restaurant or establishment, the staff and crews can understand English. Nowadays I don't really know the exact conversion rate from NT$ to what kind of dollar by the way? There's a lot of beautiful places you can choose from. But you must not missed Taipei 101, Shilin Night Market, Chiang kai shek Memorail hall, and Wu lai hot spring. But there are lots of other beautiful places outside Taipei, other towns and provinces. One thing I can say is that Taiwanese people are quite friendly. It's much better to learned their basic conversation, 'cause most of them don't really understand and speak English, especially on the small towns and provinces, and also the sign boards were written in Chinese character. I hope I's able to give you a little information for your friend. Have a great day.
