Hi All, Since i have joined a company i always used to go there by Bike. All my friends and relatives used to tell me that going by bikes is dangerous and you should try avoid it. Go by bus or some safe vehicle. Do you face the same issue at your end?

Hi there. If you are riding your bicycle in roads where there is a "bicycle lane" provided then there is nothing to worry about. Bicycle lanes are supposed to be there to keep cyclist in their segregated lanes safely and strictly. However, if there are no bicycle lanes then your family and friends might be right, since you are always in danger of being hit by other vehicles on the road.

Very considerate of you alicia, appreciate it. The Young man is from India, and we don't have any bicycle lanes, just as we don't have pavements, all have been occupied by the flea market hawkers as a matter of right. OKAY! Young man! Riding a bike on thane roads is not a very dangerous if you are the cautious kind. Please be aware of all the traffic around you and exercise caution before making any turn. Don't do anything rash! You will be safe! It is like child birth! Thousands have been doing it before you and thousands will do it with you and after you. My Kids do it every day, here in Hyderabad / Secunderabad A.P.. Good Luck!

Nope. I ride a public utility vehicle on going to work. I don't think it is the means of transport that is dangerous but the area where you're using as way to work.

I agree with your friend, If you're not carefull when you bike. Usually there is a special lane for the biker... Don't you forget to wear your helmet and other protector for your ebows and knees... Always pray before you go somewhere and don't forget, careful !! Take care....
