I will not make the same mistakes that you did

I learned the hard way to never let it get that far

I never stray too far from the sidewalk

I learnd to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt

I find it hard to trust
Not only me but everyone around me

I lose my way
And it's not too long before you point you out
I cannot cry
Because I know that 's weakness in your eyes
I'm forced to fake a smile ,a laugh
every day of my life
My heart can't possible break
When it wasn't even whole to start with

Hello friend,
I don't know exactly what you were attempting to do with this but just think it would make a great poem. It seem to make a lot of sense but it just need to have a little bit more continuity. I am a writer of poems myself and I like this a lot. It just seems to be missing out on a little bit of flow. I do hope that you will try to work on it a little more then perhaps think about getting it copywrited and published. So this way no-one can try to claim it at their own

This is a wonderful song! I actually performed it during my senoir year at Highschool. I think what I like most about it is how she overcomes everything and didn't allow herself to become a victim like her father was. I think it is just so inspirational! Thank you for sharing this :)
