Why do I always lack energy in the afternoon?

A couple of months ago I was suffering from depression and I had almost to no energy after work and would always take a long nap or something because I felt I had nothing better to do and I didn't have the energy to do it. But I've pulled myself out of that and I'm not depressed anymore at all. But after work I still feel so worn out and I literally have to FIGHT myself to stay awake. Does anyone know what I can do to change this?

You must be having a heavy meals after lunch that is the reason you lack energy in the afternoon.

This happens to alot of people, I get it sometimes too. I think it caused by low blood sugar levels, I usually counter this by eating a chocolate bar or having a cup of tea :)

Are you having this problem after you ate? Normally seen your stomach needs a lot of attention after your meal. This means that blood & energy goes in priority to your stomach.. This may cause your energy downfall because other elements like your muscles, brains, ... doesn't get that much blood & energy in that time Hope this helped
