Deleting discussions

I have some discussions that i have started. On reviewing my discussion, i see that there are some discussions very much related to it. Can i delete the discussions started by me, if yes then can anyone tell me how to do it, please?

Wow I was just thinking about deleting discussions with no responses yet and had very similar topics to existing discussions. but upon reading the responses on this discussion I decided its too much effort to have it deleted if we had to contact admin

no one of the users told me that we cant delete the posts.
even in the case we want to delete at any cost.
