I am a Canadian. I know most of Canadian Geography quite well. I can draw a decent map from memory. I know that Our border starts at the 49th Parallel. And we go very far north, our most northern Community being the most Northern community in the world (I believe) is called Alert. And though it is a Military base, Military bases in Canada are like most communities. Our Eastern most area is Newfoundland, and our western most area is Vancouver Island. I could go on and on. But then I would be here for days and not get any work done at all. Cheers.

Gardens with beautiful flowers by the truckload. Not only in Cities and peoples yards but much of the landscape is covered by hundreds of varieties of flowers. The Canadian Rockies are home to some of the most beautiful. http://mywaterton.ca is just the smallest park devoted to the perseravation of Canada's Natural beauty. I have seen a little bit of the Aurora down where I live, and once or twice when I was visiting further north. I have not had the luxury to be far enough north to see the Aurora in all its glory though.

Dear ypyanyan, I do not blame you because China is so HUGE, it covers many facts about the country, to know China well, I think you need to specialise in its Geography subject. Unless you are interested to become a tour guide to bring tourist around China, you can study History, Culture and Geography to enable you to show people around. That will be very interesting. I am a Malaysian. It has Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia. Peninsular Malaysia has 11 states and 1 federal territory. East Malaysia has two main states namely Sabah and Sarawak. The highest Mountain in Malaysia is Mount Kinabalu situated in Sabah. The 3rd highest tower in the world is situated in the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur known as Petronas Twin Towers...it looks spectacular with the lights at night. There are three main races living in Malaysia ~ Malays, Chinese and Indian. Most of us can converse in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Chinese can speak Chinese dialects and Mandarin, most Indians can speak Tamil too! All the best and do keep in touch :)

I live in a country that is rich of history, culture and heritage. I am proud of my country India. India is a place where all reglions are equal and people of different religions live together happily. All religions are given respect here and treated equally. India is known for its cultural value 'Tehzeb' and the respect we give to tourists from outside India.

Yes, I know very well my country because since grade school, our school curriculum already integrated subjects like Philippine geography, social studies about the Philippines, Philippine history and public service. It is very important to know our own history so that we can appreciate more the efforts of our forefathers to attain what we have right now in our country. Anyway you can read books about your country and listen to older folks. I think China has a very rich history, it was part of our subject World History in high school.

People in a certain nation knows a lot about their country yet don't know the entirety of it. What i mean is, we know things about our country, say geography but we don't know much of the history (or the other way around). We knew things about a certain tribe or a place yet don't know about the place next to it. I am from the Philippines and I do know about my hometown but don't know much about the people in the southern part. Anyhow, just as long as you know who you are, where you from and your culture..it's more than enough for you to know your identity.
